Fishing our waters: from the sea to the shop:

Guided visit . Duration: 90 min.

Objectives:

• The goal of this visit is for students to follow the chain of events involved in fishing, from the time a fish is caught to the time it reaches the fishmongers. The visit begins at the Aquarium. The group then walks down to take a look at the wholesale fish market and explore the different dockside activities.

• Whaling and different fishing techniques.

• How are the different kinds of fish on display at the Aquarium caught?

• In their walk from the Aquarium to the wholesale fish market, the group will talk about the activities that go on at the port.

• When booking a visit, you will be given a password to use when accessing the private area set aside for schools. Take the plunge.

• Age 6 and over. Subject matter and vocabulary are adapted to each grade level.

• Visits are available in Basque and Spanish.
